Meet our admin manager, Mariia! Mariia joined the LOC family in the summer of 2021, and has committed herself to creating a harmonious and caring environment in the clinic. In 2013, Mariia moved to Canada from her home country Ukraine to pursue her education in hospitality. Now, Mariia takes great joy in using her skills here Leaside Orthodontic Centre, making every patient and staff member prioritized everyday.
When Mariia is not in the office, she enjoys exploring her talents in cooking, trying out new recipes and flavor profiles from around the world. Mariia always makes time for sharing good food, drinks and new experiences with friends and loved ones.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Meet our wonderful Hygienist, Andrea.
Andrea is a highly skilled and experienced provider who shares her true passion for dentistry. Uncovering the marvel of orthodontics during her own childhood treatment, Andrea’s passions have since lied in improving and creating beautiful smiles. After becoming a certified Dentist in her home country, Colombia, she moved to Toronto and has been practicing as a dental Hygienist since 2002. Andrea joined Leaside Orthodontic Centre in the Winter of 2020 — she instantly became an integral member of our family. Andrea uses her extensive experience and knowledge in the field to help people achieve beautiful results in their treatment everyday.
When Andrea is not in clinic, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. Together, they share a great passion for travelling, embarking on various family trips across the world and to their home country.
Sarvin
Registered Dental Hygienist
Sarvin is a registered dental hygienist at Leaside Orthodontic Centre. Having strong passion for dentistry, she decided to study dental Hygiene at Canadian Institute of Dental Hygiene College. After years of experience in dentistry make her a gentle but efficient hygienist who is detail-oriented and very passionate about her work. In her free time, she spends her time with her family.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Graduated from the University of Toronto with a major in Life Sciences, Joan became a registered dental hygienist, and has been dedicated to the dental industry for the past five years. For over two years now, She specialized in orthodontics. Joan's background in Life Sciences has provided a strong foundation in understanding the complexities of oral health, and her passion for patient care drives her to continually enhance her skills and knowledge. Committed to providing the highest level of care, she ensures that patients achieve optimal oral health and beautiful smiles.

Dental Assistant, CDA (Ortho) Level II
My name is Jackie and I am a Level 2 assistant with Expanded Functions certification. I have been an assistant for about 20 years now and my main experience has been in Orthodontics. I am the proud mom of 3 adult children, who are all amazing artists. In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, skiing, fitness, and weight training. I have competed in approximately 5 fitness competitions. I used to own a martial arts studio and hold a 2nd-degree black belt. I love working with Dr. Arat and the team. Everyone here is so positive and fun and really cares about the patients.

Ron Tuazon
Dental Assistant
Ron is a dedicated dental professional with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Philippines. After relocating to Canada in August 2022, Ron joined Leaside Orthodontic Centre in August 2023 as Dr. Arat’s assistant. He is passionate about advancing his knowledge in orthodontics and is excited to be part of a team that provides exceptional care to patients. Ron has completed the HARP certification and holds IPAC certification, ensuring strict adherence to the highest standards of infection prevention and control. Driven by his commitment to the dental field, Ron is preparing to return to dental school to obtain licensure to practice in Canada. In the meantime, he is grateful for the opportunity to be mentored by Dr. Arat and to continue learning in this specialized area of dentistry.
Franz Cadiente
Sterilization Technician, Website and Social Media Manager
Franz, an IPAC certified Sterilization Technician, ensures impeccable hygiene and patient safety. Originally graduating with a degree in Computer Science, he expertly streamlines processes with his web development skills and enhances the clinic’s online presence through social media marketing. He is adept at operating and maintaining sterilization equipment, managing inventory of sterilization supplies, and adhering to strict protocols to prevent cross-contamination. Franz's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to the highest standards make him an invaluable asset, ensuring every patient receives exceptional care.
